Let’s do something for Myanmar Earthquake Victims

As we have already known, Tar Lay and Mong Lin townships from Shan State had been adversely ruined by two powerful 6.8 quakes that hit on 24th March, 2011. According to the local authorities in Tarlay, the quakes toppled 702 homes and left 3152 people homeless. Over 18,000 people from nearby 90 villages are being suffered from aftermaths of the quakes.

In the meaning time, the victims are being helped by UN organizations, non-governmental organizations, Myanmar Red Cross Society and other governmental organizations, yet more aids are still needed.

Therefore, ODF Myanmar has decided to assist the victims of the massive earthquake. Due to emergency needs, we have planned to collect donations by two parts. We will collect donations from 1st April to 10th April as the first part and from 11th April to 30th April as the second part.

By curtailing our daily expenses on a cup of coffee or juice and making contributions to needy victims, we can help those who have been facing with lack of basic necessities and wondering for relief aids.

We all have seen how Japanese people gathered and assisted each other after recent destructive earthquakes. Therefore, it is time for all of us to show that we are ready to support an urgent call to help our fellows from our country.

ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို ့အားလံုးသိၿပီးၿဖစ္တဲ့အတိုင္း ၂၀၁၁-မတ္လ ၂၄ ရက္ေန႔က လႈပ္ခတ္ခဲ႔တဲ႔ ၆.၈ ရစ္ခ်္တာစေကးငလ်င္ေၾကာင္႔ ရွမ္းျပည္နယ္ရိွ တာေလ ၊ မိုင္းလင္း စတဲ႔ ေဒသေတြဟာ အၾကီးအက်ယ္ပ်က္စီးဆံုးရံႈးခဲ႔ရပါတယ္။ မတ္လ ၃၀ ရက္ေန႔မွာ ေဒသဆိုင္ရာအာဏာပိုင္ေတြရဲ႕ ခန္႔မွန္းခ်က္အရ တာေလျမိဳ႕မွာ အိမ္ေပါင္း ၇၀၂ လံုး ပ်က္စီးခဲ့ၿပီး အိမ္ယာမဲ႔ေပါင္း ၃၁၅၂ ေယာက္ခန္႔ ရိွႏိုင္ပါတယ္။ အေစာပိုင္းခန္႔မွန္႔ခ်က္ေတြအရ ရြာေပါင္း ၉၀ ရိွ လူေပါင္း ၁၈၀၀၀ ခန္႔ ငလ်င္ဒဏ္ကို ခံစားခဲ႔ပါရတယ္။

လက္ရွိမွာ ကုလသမၼဂလက္ေအာက္ခံအဖြဲ႔အစည္းမ်ား ၊ NGO မ်ား ၊ ၾကက္ေျခနီမ်ား ၊ အာဏာပိုင္အဖြဲ႔အစည္းမ်ားက ကူညီေနေပမယ့္ အကူအညီေတြက လုိအပ္ေနဆဲပါ။

ဒါေၾကာင့္ ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ ODF Myanmar အေနႏွင္႔ အဆိုပါငလ်င္ေၾကာင္႔ ဒုကၡေရာက္ေနတဲ႔ မိသားစုမ်ားအား ကူညီေပးဖို႔ ဆံုးျဖတ္ခဲ႔ပါတယ္။ အေရးေပၚအေျခအေနျဖစ္တဲ႔အတြက္ အလွဴေငြေကာက္ခံျခင္းကို ႏွစ္ပိုင္းခြဲျပီး ျပဳလုပ္သြားပါမယ္။ ပထမအေက်ာ႔အေနနဲ႔ ဧျပီ ၁ ရက္ေန႔မွ ဧျပီ ၁၀ ရက္ေန႔အထိ ေကာက္ခံမွာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ဒုတိယအေက်ာ႔ကိုေတာ႔ ဧျပီ ၁၁ ရက္ေန႔မွ ဧျပီ ၃၀ ရက္ေန႔ထိ ေကာက္ခံသြားပါမယ္။

ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ ေန႔တိုင္းေသာက္ေနတဲ႔ ေကာ္ဖီ ၊ အေအး တစ္ခြက္စာေလာက္ ေလွ်ာ႔ေသာက္ျပီး လူအပ္ေနတဲ႔လူေတြကို အကူအညီေပးမယ္ ဆိုရင္ ေန႔စဥ္လိုအပ္ခ်က္ေတြကို ဘယ္မွာသြားရွာရမွန္း ၊  ဘယ္သူ႔ဆီက ေမွ်ာ္ကိုးရမွန္းမသိျဖစ္ေနရွာတဲ႔ ဒုကၡသည္ ေမာင္ႏွမမ်ားအတြက္ တကယ႔္အေထာက္အပံ႔ျဖစ္ႏိုင္ပါတယ္။
